“The envelope, please.” The multi-talented Bayu Ardianto captures a first-place win with his latest VideoSong, Inveitability, in the IndieFone Film Festival. Bayu relied on EHX pedals to help him score.
Bayu Ardianto checks in with EHX from Indonesia. This latest VideoSong from his group, Lola Bangs The Drums, is entitled Kamu, Kamu, Kamu (English translation: You, You, You).
Bayu told Mike Matthews that he used the following Electro-Harmonix gear while producing this VideoSong:
All the way from Indonesia! LOLA BANGS THE DRUMS as this Electro-Harmonix clad trio led by the talented Bayu Ardianto use seven EHX pedals to create a monster groove. Check out the dead-on Leslie from the HOG and POG 2 integrated with the Stereo Pulsar. Natalia Pratiwi provides super-cool vocals with backing from the Voice Box while Dika Charles Dickson’s drumming is always in the pocket.
Here’s the latest videosong by the multi-talented Bayu Ardianto. This time he’s collaborating with Lola Bangs The Drums, a duet featuring Natalia Pratiwi and Dika Charles Dickson.
The title of the original song is “Dekati Aku” which translates to “come and get me!”
When producing this videosong Bayu drew inspiration from big band, swing music. He explained that because he doesn’t have brass instruments he mimicked the brass with his pianica and an EHX Voice Box in unison mode (one octave higher, one octave lower).

Big thanks to Eric Myers for this amazing performance of Neil Young's "After the Goldrush." Eric used the Voice Box in vocoder mode to merge his voice with the melody, as played via electric guitar. He combined the synthed-out vocals with acoustic tracks to produce this updated "twenty-first century" version of a classic song. Don't miss the third stanza: "Well, I dreamed I saw the silver space ships flying..."
