The Stereo Pulsar generates vintage tremolo and panning that will fill any venue with rhythmic stereo energy. Its Wave Form switch allows you to change the modulation from triangle to square form. The Wave Shape control allows you to control transitions from negative to positive saw tooth or adjust pulse width. This all means you can create any type of stereo tremolo from pure vintage to ones never heard before.

All the way from Indonesia! LOLA BANGS THE DRUMS as this Electro-Harmonix clad trio led by the talented Bayu Ardianto use seven EHX pedals to create a monster groove. Check out the dead-on Leslie from the HOG and POG 2 integrated with the Stereo Pulsar. Natalia Pratiwi provides super-cool vocals with backing from the Voice Box while Dika Charles Dickson’s drumming is always in the pocket.
Here’s the latest videosong by the multi-talented Bayu Ardianto. This time he’s collaborating with Lola Bangs The Drums, a duet featuring Natalia Pratiwi and Dika Charles Dickson.
The title of the original song is “Dekati Aku” which translates to “come and get me!”
When producing this videosong Bayu drew inspiration from big band, swing music. He explained that because he doesn’t have brass instruments he mimicked the brass with his pianica and an EHX Voice Box in unison mode (one octave higher, one octave lower).
Bayu used the following EHX products in this production: Voice Box (pianica) Cathedral Stereo Reverb (electric guitar, electric piano, acoustic guitar) Stereo Pulsar (electric guitar)
Russian Big Muff Pi (bass, lead synthesizer) Double Muff (electric guitar)
Thanks to the mad scientists at EHX the Stereo Pulsar Pedal goes far beyond the standard tremolo effect.
The rate knob controls the pulse of the effect from zero to an insanely fast blur.
At its highest rate the low frequency oscillator is so fast it pushes the frequency up in to the audio range. This creates a carrier note producing a cool ring modulation effect.
In the audio example below a low guitar string is plucked while the Pulsar’s rate control is turned up to maximum. You can hear the guitar tremolo start as a slow pulse and then morph into ring modulation. With the rate control at maximum, several riffs are played to demonstrate the sound.

As he says, “Never judge what an effect pedal will do by what you have heard it will do. Experiment and you will find new sounds not yet discovered!” Indeed!
Sonic master Bill Ruppert reproduces the legendary Pink Floyd synth textures from “Welcome To The Machine .” Using only his guitar and the perfect blend of EH pedals, Bill re-creates the amazing sound-scapes that made this recording special. Each EH pedal provides its own magic to reveal the complexity and textures of the EMS VC3 synthesizer with stunning accuracy.

Welcome to the tenth installment of EHX Effectology. In this episode Bill demonstrates a sound that reminds him of the keyboard sound in the Led Zepplein song “No Quarter”.
Second example is more of a traditional Fender Rhodes sound with a solo using the guitar into a Voice Box whistle mode.
Welcome to the second installment of Electro-Harmonix's new "Effectology" series. In the first episode, we transformed a regular electric guitar into a blues harmonica.
Dig this intense performance of ZZ Top's "Blue Jeans Blues" by Portuguese trio Budda Power Blues. For the tremolo effect, Budda is playing through an EHX Stereo Pulsar, he reports: "I normaly use the first knob at 1 or 2 o'clock, the shape of the wave at about 10 o'clock, and I use different settings for the speed. I tend to prefer the triangular wave shape."
To further set the mood, here's a picture of ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons with EHX's Suzi Matthews (several of you previously spotted Suzi in this video tour of the EHX mothership):
