Classic dual overdrive. The original 1969 plug-in Muff Fuzz had just a touch of overdrive and sounded like a vintage amp with a slightly torn speaker. We paired two of these together in one box to create the Double Muff. Use just one Muff for a hint of milky distortion, or cascade the second Muff for over-the-top overdrive that turns the milk into cream. Two distortions in one! Now in a compact, rugged Nano-sized package.
“The envelope, please.” The multi-talented Bayu Ardianto captures a first-place win with his latest VideoSong, Inveitability, in the IndieFone Film Festival. Bayu relied on EHX pedals to help him score.
The pedals used in this VideoSong are:
1. Double Muff (electric guitar)
2. Cathedral (electric guitar)
3. Stereo Electric Mistress (electric guitar)
4. Neo Mistress (electric guitar)
5. Ring Thing (electric guitar)
6. Voice Box (pianica)
7. HOG (synthesizer)
8. LPB-1 (electric guitar)
9. Metal Muff (electric guitar)
Congratulations, Bayu!
Here’s the latest videosong by the multi-talented Bayu Ardianto. This time he’s collaborating with Lola Bangs The Drums, a duet featuring Natalia Pratiwi and Dika Charles Dickson.
The title of the original song is “Dekati Aku” which translates to “come and get me!”
When producing this videosong Bayu drew inspiration from big band, swing music. He explained that because he doesn’t have brass instruments he mimicked the brass with his pianica and an EHX Voice Box in unison mode (one octave higher, one octave lower).
Bayu used the following EHX products in this production:
Voice Box (pianica)
Cathedral Stereo Reverb (electric guitar, electric piano, acoustic guitar)
Stereo Pulsar (electric guitar)
Russian Big Muff Pi (bass, lead synthesizer)
Double Muff (electric guitar)

A short excerpt from the documentary film "Fuzz: The Sound That Revolutionized The World" in which Electro-Harmonix founder Mike Matthews tells the story of EHX's first product, the
LPB-1.
Mike also reveals the origins of "Muff," which we take care to use very sparingly: Bass Big Muff Pi, Big Muff Pi, Big Muff Pi (Russian), Double Muff, English Muff'n, Little Big Muff Pi, Metal Muff, Micro Metal Muff, Muff Overdrive, and Pocket Metal Muff (all featured in our Distortion, Fuzz, Overdrive category).
The clip also features Chris Ross (Wolfmother) and ends with J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.) showing off his unbelievable Big Muff Pi collection.
